Who are the 3 sisters reading??

Oldest and shortest (though I'd like to point out that Tracy is standing on something in the above pic - it was a few years more before I took the title of Most Vertically-Challenged). One of my earliest and fondest memories is of a librarian handing me a manila card asking me to sign it -- I was five, maybe six, and even then I felt the reverence for what that library card meant. Books. So many books. Our dad didn't know what to do with us, so the library it was, and in taking us there, he gave each of us the gift of a love for reading. My favorite place to read is everywhere, so thank goodness for the Kindle app. I'm not especially genre specific in my reading, though I lean toward cozy mysteries, often British or Irish, but I don't limit myself. I like regency and, though formulaic, the Nora Roberts trilogies, and really most mysteries in general, if they're not too gruesome. I don't do vampires, sparkly or otherwise, or zombies, though Lycans and/or Shifters are good. And witches? It goes without saying. I love magical realism, stories that combine some sort of magic with the modern world, so Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are high ranking favorites. I happily and very often reread favorite books, I never read the end of a book first, and only want spoilers if it's making me angry and I have to bail. Happy (or at least hopeful) endings are a must - there's too much real in reality as it is. I have a very long commute every day, so my reviews will sometimes be for Audible versions, which I don't consider reading, exactly -- more like consuming, which, believe it or not, can be a different experience than reading it yourself, even though the material is exactly the same.

Tracy
The second born and complete Harry Potter fanatic.  I try to avoid conflict and keep the peace as often as possible.  In fact, too much angst in a story gives me real anxiety.  Despite having the 💩 scared out of me as a young child by Riki Tiki Tavi at the library , I love books and reading.  My Kindle is an extension of my hand but I love the smell of a new physical book.  I have no problem rereading a book numerous times.  I have no fear of spoilers and have been known to read the end first.  My favorite place to read is on the beach or by the pool, with a cold diet peach tea Snapple and something crunchy to eat.
As a complete introvert, romantic and book addict, I love reading YA (young adult), NA (new adult), Contemporary and Historical romance.  I dip my toes in PNR (paranormal), depending on the content and author.
My love for the tragic tortured hero began around 16 when I read a short story in a Good Housekeeping magazine.  On paper!! (my age is showing)  I was so fascinated with this story that i ripped it out of the magazine and saved it for years.  That lead me to Danielle Steele, then the Loveswept books from the used book store and the local library.  Once I discovered Nora Roberts it was all over.

I religiously check my TBR on Goodreads so follow me!

Clearly I am the procrastinator of the bunch.......
