I am enjoying the Red Lipstick Coalition series more and more with each new story. Amelia and Tommy's story is my favorite so far. Tommy is hiding in plain sight. His public persona is a construct to keep people out of his true personal life. Amelia appears painfully shy, but as you get to know her, you realize that she is not so much shy as uncomfortable in crowds. A speech impediment that she had as a child also contributes to her aversion to people. When these two cross paths, sparks fly!
Amelia can see the real Tommy and decides to help him when he presents her with a crazy idea to try and save his latest book. She knows that he has such a big lovely heart hidden under his crazy public image. Tommy knows that Amelia is a rare find and doesn't want to ruin her, but is so grateful for her help. Their relationship gave me the warm fuzzies. They were so unsure of each other romantically, but trusted each other as friends, and really rescued each other.
Seeing them both grow and change for the better was a joy to watch. Amelia came out of her shell and had such confidence because Tommy made her feel so safe. Tommy was able to stop hiding and be authentic because Amelia made him feel safe. They were so protective of each other that when the angst hit, I was worried about how Staci Hart would resolve it.
Never fear....love wins out in the end! The resolution was great and Staci Hart drops a huge bomb at the end for Katherine's book that will leaving you chomping at the bit for the last in the series.
